LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We are living and practicing our work on ancestral, occupied homelands of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.

We are dedicated to listening and amplifying Indigenous voices with humility to advance First Nation sovereignty. We cannot escape our positionality as settlers here and are committed to living in a conscious and ethical relationship with this land and its rightful people.

We do this through connection with food and land justice movements, and monthly commitment through Real Rent Duwamish (Duwamish Tribe, Coast Salish Peoples). We embrace the challenge and joy of continuing education to deepen our understanding of this place, its people, and the work we can do to pursue ethical and compassionate ways of being as we practice.
